By simply creating an Apple ID for another country, you could get started with Pokémon GO before the Dutch release.
Now that the Dutch version is also available, it is advisable to make the switch. If updates for Pokémon GO appear in the future, you don’t need to switch accounts to install them. Moreover, you will not lose your Pokémon collection if you delete the app and install the Dutch version.
This is how you switch to the Dutch version of Pokémon GO:
- Delete the Pokémon GO app from your iPhone
- Open the App Store and log in with your Dutch Apple ID
- You will now be automatically taken to the Dutch App Store. Download Pokémon GO (again) here.
- After downloading, log in with your (Google) account and you can continue playing.
