The latest update from Instagram makes it possible to add hashtags and links to other users to your profile. In this tip you can read how to do this.
Instagram hashtags and links

Instagram is rolling out a small, but useful update to its app. It is now possible to link in your profile (or bio) to hashtags and profiles of others. Previously you could put the name of a profile in your bio, but this was only text and not a ‘full’ link. So clicking on it didn’t make much sense.
You can add hashtags and links to other users by editing your own profile. In the steps below, we briefly show how it works.
- Open the Instagram app on your iPhone;
- Tap on the account info (the figure) at the bottom right and then choose ‘Edit profile’ at the top;
- In the box under ‘Biography’ you can enter hashtags and profile links. Tap the check mark in the top right to save the changes.
And that was it! If you want to add a url to a website outside of Instagram, you can still do that. With the option ‘Edit profile’ you simply enter the link in the box under ‘Website’. The website is then visible to everyone in your bio.
