Do you have multiple windows open in Safari and have you lost track? App Exposé provides an overview by showing all windows of a specific app side by side. This is how the unique iPadOS function works.
App Exposé on iPadOS: this is how you get an overview
Split View, Slide Over and Picture in Picture: the iPad works fine for multitasking. When you no longer see the trees through the forest because of all open apps, App Exposé comes in handy. This new function of iPadOS opens all open windows of an app in a handy overview. This is how App Exposé works:
- Activate the Dock, or go to the home screen;
- Hold your finger on the app for which you want to open App Exposé;
- In the newly appeared window, tap Show All Windows.
Then all open windows of this app are displayed next to each other in an orderly manner. Windows opened via Slide Over and Split Screen are also displayed. When you have many windows open, you can scroll through them by swiping left and right.
Tap one of these previews to display the respective window on the full screen of your iPad. The fastest way to start App Exposé is from the Dock. To do this, put your finger on the edge of the iPad screen at the bottom and select the app icon.

About iPadOS
With iPadOS, the iPad has its own unique operating system. The tablet thus shifts more towards the Mac. For example, the Files app has been renewed and the Reminders app has been given a fresh look. You can now multitask a lot better and professional services such as WeTransfer and WordPress work in Safari.
