Netflix makes a slew of new series and films available every day. On iPhone we look ahead every month at the new offer with the best tips. These are often new series and films, but also old favorites that appear on Netflix.

1. The Witcher (season 1)

You may only know The Witcher from the popular games, but this Netflix series is not directly based on that. The series does follow the original books, with the same characters. The show is about monster hunter Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), who has trouble with the real monsters in the world: humans. Expect a lot of fantasy in a magical world.

2. Marriage Story

In this film, filmmaker Noah Baumbach looks at a marriage that breaks down. Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver play a married couple with a child, but their relationship is no longer sustainable. How does that go on? Also featuring Laura Dern and Alan Alda.

Airing on Netflix from December 6

3. Lost in Space (season 2)

The Robinsons are back, lost on a strange planet where the family must survive. Although everyone has made it to the end of the first season, they miss one family member: the robot. Expect a lot of excitement, monsters and surprises in this quest.

4. V Wars (season 1)

Netflix plunges into the vampires with the new series V Wars. The series is based on a graphic novel of the same name, about a disease that turns humans into vampire monsters. The lead role is played by Ian Somerhalder, who plays a scientist looking for a solution to this growing problem.

Airing on Netflix from 5 December

5. The Two Popes

The movie The Two Popes tells about the previous and the current Pope, but it is not a documentary. Anthony Hopkins plays Pope Benedict XVI, while Jonathan Pryce takes on the role of Pope Francis (then Cardinal Bergoglio). Two men with the same task, but completely different vision.
