Tip: this is how you take an extra long screenshot of your iPhone with Stitch It!

What if you have had a long conversation in, for example, iMessage or WhatsApp and you want to share it with someone else? Then you can send a stack of screenshots in turn, but it is easier and clearer to make a long screenshot of it. You can do the latter with the Stitch It app.

Cut, slide and paste

Unfortunately, in iOS it is not possible to save a longer page at once while taking a screenshot. Fortunately, there is a solution to take a screenshot of a long page anyway. It works very easily. First you just take screenshots by scrolling down and grabbing a new piece. These are stored in your camera roll. With the Stitch It app, you can easily turn these separate screenshots into one long one. You do that as follows:

1. Open the app and tap the plus sign at the bottom right;
2. The camera roll will open automatically, where you can select the photos you want to link together;
3. They will now be listed under each other in the app. You can now adjust the order by moving the icon with three bars next to the screenshots;
4. If you tap one of your selected images, you can crop it. This is usually not necessary for the former. In the second image you can slide the parent image over it, until the letters match. You can shorten the image at the bottom. A dotted line then indicates where you cut.

This way you slide screenshot for screenshot all your images on top of each other, until they are set correctly. Tap ‘Stitch It!’ In the top right corner to stitch the different parts together into a long screenshot without seams.

You can place markers or cross things out with different colors before you save the creation. For example, you indicate what an important part of the story is or hide private information. If you’ve read a long article of which you just can’t select the most important thing in one screen, that’s also easy to arrange with Stitch It. Found it! is free to download, but there are ads.
