Are you crazy about all the trailers that play automatically when you scroll through Netflix? From now on you can easily turn this off.
This is how you turn off automatic play
Most Netflix users will recognize it: you scroll through Netflix looking for a new series to watch, and suddenly a trailer starts playing hard. Some Netflix users like that, but most don’t. Netflix has taken this feedback well and added the feature to turn it off. This works as follows:
- Open Netflix in your browser;
- Under the profiles, click on ‘Manage profiles’;
- Then choose the profile you want to edit;
- Under ‘Buttons for automatic play’ uncheck the second box ‘While browsing on all devices, previews are automatically displayed’;
- Click on save and then on ‘Done’;
Autoplay of trailers is now disabled on all devices you watch Netflix on. So if you hang around on a series or film just a little longer, a trailer doesn’t suddenly start playing.
Are you sensitive to accidental binge watching because the new episode always starts playing automatically? In addition to playing previews, you can also disable the next episode to start automatically.
