Apple Music now also works through the browser. This allows you to listen to your favorite music anytime, anywhere, whatever device or browser you use. That is how it works.
Listen to Apple Music via your browser: that’s how it works
It took a while, but you can now listen to Apple Music via the browser. Apple announced this capability as a beta last September, and now the web version is officially available. The streaming service can handle all browsers and platforms. This is how you listen to Apple Music via the browser:
- Open your preferred browser and navigate to music.apple.com/en;
- Log in with your Apple ID username and password;
- Start listening.
The browser version of Apple Music is clearly inspired by macOS Catalina’s standalone Music app. The same layout and design is used. This gives you access to the complete range of Music including playlists, radio stations and personalized recommendations put together for you.
Unfortunately, a few features are missing from the Music app. The music video offer, for example, is not yet complete. Playlists that you have created via the Music app are also missing.
The web version of Apple Music works on all popular platforms. For example, you can listen on Windows laptops, Chromebooks and Android phones. It also does not matter which browser you use. Apple Music can handle Google Chrome, Firefox and of course Safari.
