Apple has officially presented the Apple AirTag. With this affordable gadget you can find your lost items via your iPhone. Apple is also announcing a purple iPhone 12 and introducing subscription to your favorite podcasts in the Podcast app. In addition, there will be a renewed Apple TV 4K.
The introduction of the AirTag had been in the air for a year. Apple has now really announced the gadget and will release it soon for 35 euros each. A set of four costs 119 euros. You can order the AirTag from April 24 at 14:00. You attach the AirTag to a product, for example your handbag, backpack or wallet. You do need a separate pendant for this, the price of which is not yet known. Other companies have already announced their own hangers.
AirTag works via an ultrawideband chip and uses the Apple Find Mynetwork (from 1 billion devices) to determine its location. The gadget talks to your iPhone to report its location. You will receive directions on your iPhone where you need to go, both in terms of distance and direction. The AirTag can also make a buzzing sound to indicate its location.

Apple TV 4K
The renewed Apple TV 4K runs on an A12 Bionic processor and is therefore a lot faster than the previous generation Apple TV. The media player supports HDR with a high refresh rate and comes with a new remote control. It has more buttons, including a separate button for the Siri voice assistant.
The Apple TV 4K will appear in mid-May with 32 or 64 GB storage memory for 199 and 219 euros respectively.

Purple iPhone 12
Apple’s digital event kicked off with a surprise announcement. The iPhone 12 appears in a new color, which Apple simply calls purple. The purple edition will be released on April 30 in addition to the existing colors and for the same price. You can pre-order the color version from April 23 at 14:00.

Podcast subscriptions
The Apple Podcast app has also been addressed. Apple has given the app a revamped look, with more focus on the show’s featured image. In addition, Apple is introducing the option to allow makers to offer subscriptions. When they do this, you can subscribe for early access to new episodes, additional content and more. Makers themselves determine whether and, if so, how much money they charge for their podcasts. It is not yet known whether Apple charges a commission, which if so means that podcast creators do not receive 100 percent of your payment.
