The week is over and that means that a fresh app overview is waiting for you! As far as we are concerned, you should not miss these new apps, games and updates. You can find the best iOS apps from week 20 here.
The best iOS apps at a glance
The App Store works overtime every week to handle the never-ending stream of new apps and updates. You don’t notice that much, however, because only a fraction of it is worth installing. If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch can use some new apps, you’ve come to the right place.
1. Flitsmeister
The latest version of Flitsmeister not only warns on A and N roads for speed cameras and controls, but also on smaller (provincial) roads. Previously, information about hectometre markers as well as the GPS location was required for the transmission of speed camera locations, but now smaller roads are also included where those poles are not present. In addition to this much-requested adjustment, the Flitsmeister dashboard has been slightly overhauled. For example, the option to route to work, home or another location has been simplified to a search function at the bottom right of the screen.

2. Telegram
With version 4.0 of Telegram you can send short video messages to your contacts. The feature is similar to the existing audio messages, but now allows you to send a short video as well. Telegram has also introduced a new video platform for channels with the update. Public channels can post videos up to a minute on Telescope. These can then not only be viewed in the app itself, but also on the internet via a public link.

3. Eggggg
Vomiting because you are nauseous, you do not wish on anyone. Hardly anyone, at least, because Gilbert in the comic platform game Eggggg makes good use of it. Gilbert uses this to bounce and spit himself through 21 cleverly designed platforming levels in the entertaining iPhone game Eggggg. You use vomit to climb walls, defeat enemies and float through the air. Eggggg is the free App of the Week and can therefore be downloaded for free until next Thursday.

4. SwiftKey
The design of keyboard app SwiftKey has had a major update. The popular iOS keyboard gets a cleaner look and therefore better suits iOS. Specifically, in the old design, SwiftKey placed a shadow behind the separate keys and a blue color was put on the special buttons. That is no longer the case. The effect of these small changes is enormous. The keyboard looks nicer and quieter and fits much better with iOS.

5. Facebook Messenger
The Facebook Messenger app has received a minor but significant update. The app is streamlined by a number of changes to the design, making it easier to switch between chats, contacts and groups, for example. A red dot is shown for new notifications. In the bar at the bottom you can now press a button to go directly to the Facebook Messenger games.

6. Run-A-Whale
If you’re looking for a new iOS game for your iPhone or iPad, then you should give Run-A-Whale a try. The game is clearly based on iOS classics such as Tiny Wings and Alto’s Adventure, but is distinguished by its unique graphics. As the name suggests, you play like a puppet on a whale and you have to get that far in the levels. There is plenty to do: collect all the coins, beat the five bosses and try to complete the 90 missions.
