The 5 best iOS apps in the App Store from week 32 – 2017

The week is over and that means that a fresh app overview is waiting for you! As far as we are concerned, you should not miss these new apps, games and updates. You can find the best iOS apps from week 32 here.

The best iOS apps at a glance

The App Store works overtime every week to handle the never-ending stream of new apps and updates. However, you will hardly notice this, because only a small part of it is worth installing. If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch can use some new apps, you’ve come to the right place.

1. Trips from Lonely Planet

The still hugely popular travel book publisher, Lonely Planet, has released a new iOS app. Trips is intended for people who like to travel and want to share visual reports of it with others. For users, this provides a kind of guide app, but with information and images from other app users.

After installing the app you can log in via Facebook, Twitter or Google. Logging in is not required, but then you can only look around in the app and post nothing yourself. You can then immediately start following people (and people you). Travel reports from others can be seen on the main screen.

2. iPhoned app

A new version of our app is eager to be installed. You will also find a completely new item in the menu. With a tap on the ‘Deals button’ you will get to the overview of the best iPhone deals. Here we regularly highlight interesting offers, from iPhones to iPads and MacBooks.

You can also return to the main screen more easily by tapping the iPhoned logo at the top. Handy if you want to go back to the overview after reading an article. We are also quietly preparing for Apple’s keynote in September. Here the company will unveil the iPhone 8 and iPhone 7S, and that evening iPhoned will of course come out with numerous articles, videos and updates. That is why you can already follow a live stream with the iPhone app without leaving the app.

3. iTranslate Converse

iTranslate Converse helps you have a conversation in a language you don’t speak. The app automatically recognizes which language is being spoken and translates what is being said in real time. iTranslate speaks about 40 different languages, including Chinese and Russian.

To use the app, you have to turn your iPhone upside down. This allows the microphone to pick up better what you say and the speech coming from your iPhone speaker becomes more audible. Then keep your finger on the screen while speaking and iTranslate will speak the translation for you. If you download the corresponding language packs, you can also use the app without an internet connection.

4. Hearthstone

Hearthstone, the iPhone editors’ favorite iOS game, has been given a new expansion. This one is called ‘Knights of the Frozen Throne’ and brings 135 new cards. Some of these you get for free, but most you will have to earn by winning games and collecting gold, but you can also buy them with real money.

Unlike the previous expansion, Knights of the Frozen Throne again contains a number of single player missions. Here you take on a spunky final boss, where you have to think carefully about which approach you choose. Also new is that you can transform your characters.

5. Coolblue

The Coolblue application offers access to the entire range of the company, with a few extra functions. At the top you can search for the product you are looking for, and you can also find your previous searches here. Via the individual product pages you then get all the information you need, including reviews that visitors have left.

Coolblue has also provided the app with a barcode scanner. By scanning a code for a product, you will be taken to the corresponding product page at Coolblue. With this you can check in one go how much a product costs at the blue chain, and whether it is in stock.
