Chat app Telegram now distinguishes itself even more from competitor WhatsApp. The latest update builds completely on the features that the other popular chat app does not have. We list them here for you.
Telegram photo editing and more improved
Version 4.3 of Telegram introduces a large list of improvements. One of the most useful is the expansion of the @ button, which you can now use to quickly find new entries. Group conversations are also a bit clearer here, because from now on you will see all your unread entries in the chat overview with an @ sign.
In addition, Telegram has used the moment to expand the photo editing in the app. From now on you can add a caption when you cut and paste a picture. If you often call via Telegram, you will now see the signal strength of your call from a new icon.

The chat app has not forgotten the group conversations either. For example, you can now add full sticker bundles to a conversation, which can then be used by all members. Finally, fans of the Twitch livestream service can now follow full broadcasts in the app. Handy if you want to talk about a live stream with a friend, because with picture-in-picture, the video stays in the picture while you talk.
Telegram further stands out
With the new functions, Telegram further distinguishes itself from competitors such as iMessage and WhatsApp. That is badly needed, because those two messaging services dominate the market together with Facebook Messenger. Nevertheless, Telegram has been making progress for years with useful new functions and a robust Mac app. This makes it easy to remain accessible on all your devices.
