The week is over and that means that a fresh app overview is waiting for you! As far as we are concerned, you should not miss these new apps, games and updates. You can find the best iOS apps from week 47 here.
The best iOS apps at a glance
The App Store works overtime every week to handle the never-ending stream of new apps and updates. However, you will hardly notice this, because only a small part of it is worth installing. If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch can use some new apps, you’ve come to the right place.
1. Animal Crossing: Pocket Champ
Nintendo effortlessly molds its well-known brands into different smartphone shapes. Mario is jumping around in an auto runner and Fire Emblem is doing well as a gatcha game. For Animal Crossing, a free-to-play model was chosen, as we are now used to on iOS. In the free game you have to wait for several meters, but by paying some money everything goes faster. Fortunately, the game can also be played without paying.
In Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, you create a character and become the leader of a new camp. Your goal is then to get to know different animals from the neighborhood and to invite them. You also have to decorate your camp with furniture, plants and other objects. You cannot win and you cannot get a score. Read more in the Animal Crossing: Pocket Champ review.

2. RememBear
Why does a password manager have to be purely business? Although RememBear has a clean look with a minimalist design, the app is also playful. You will always notice this in the puns (Bear-owser) and the many images of bears. The creators embrace their name and place the animals in any place they can think of.
RememBear is made by the folks behind TunnelBear, one of the more popular VPN apps in the App Store. This is where the bear theme started and now the makers are continuing this. The developers claim to use the very best encryption to protect your passwords. This ensures that only you can view your passwords. The app automatically fills in passwords for you after you confirm your identity.

3. HQ
In short, HQ is a trivia quiz, with a live broadcast twice a day. It is an American app and the broadcast times are therefore American. In the Netherlands you can watch and play at night at 9 p.m. or 3 a.m. Anyone can enter for free, and if they answer all the questions correctly, they’ll win a share of the prize pool. In HQ, questions are asked via a live video. Presenter Scott Rogowsky talks the show together. He does this with a lot of humor, hip beats and visual effects.
The questions are multiple choice and are getting more difficult. As a candidate, you only have a few seconds to select an answer. There is hardly any time to look up something. If you are wrong, then you are done. Ultimately, there are often not many people left. The prize pool (usually $ 1000) is divided among them. Free money for smart people or those with a lot of luck.

4. Overcast
Overcast, one of the most popular podcast apps for iOS, got an update this week. Completely new is the dark theme, which is specially designed for the OLED screen of the iPhone X. This also means that the app now uses the entire screen of the X. By swiping up or down with two fingers, you can switch of theme.
Also new is the sleep timer, which automatically turns off Overcast at the end of a podcast episode. This prevents you from being woken up at night by the sound of another episode. Version 4.0.1 of Overcast can be downloaded via the link below and is completely free to use.
