The week is over and that means that a fresh app overview is waiting for you! As far as we are concerned, you should not miss these new apps, games and updates. You can find the best iOS apps from week 14 (2018) here.
The best iOS apps at a glance
The App Store works overtime every week to handle the never-ending stream of new apps and updates. However, you will hardly notice this, because only a small part of it is worth installing. If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch can use some new apps, you’ve come to the right place.
1. Snapchat
Snapchat is rolling out three new ‘Lenses’, which use the TrueDepth camera on the iPhone X to put masks on your face in a much more realistic way. This makes it one of the first major apps to apply the technology in this way. The three new lenses are logically only available to users of the iPhone X.
This week, another cool feature was added to the app. It is now possible to set up group video calls, with which you can add up to 15 of your friends to a conversation. All your friends (or family members) will then appear on the screen at the same time, causing the necessary chaos.
2. Drafts
Drafts: Quick Capture is, in our opinion, the ideal starting place for any text on your iPhone. Whether it is a thought, shopping list, e-mail, text message or whatever else. Drafts has the ideal combination of pure simplicity and yet plenty of options.
All notes you make are stored in an inbox. That is the place where you come back later and take actions. When you view a note and press the button at the top right of the screen, you will be welcomed with a whole host of options. Drafts: Quick Capture is fairly pricey, but we think it’s worth it to get your thoughts in order.
3. Bellus3D
Bellus3D is an app that allows you to take real 3D selfies. The advanced TrueDepth camera of the iPhone X is used for this. After starting up, the app asks you to slowly move your head in various directions. Your face is now scanned at more than 250,000 different points and completely recreated.
When you are satisfied with the result, save the photo and possibly share it directly as a 3D message on Facebook. According to the developer, it is the first app of its kind and therefore the functionality is still limited. The app is currently only available as a beta version and cannot be found in the App Store. You can read all about how to install the app via the link below.

4. Wormster Dash
Wormster Dash is a game where your agility is put to the test. During an excavation you woke up an ancient monster, so time to run. While you run away you have to face all kinds of pitfalls and other dangers.
Nice is that the game is executed in a completely unique style. Wormster Dash reminds you of an old cartoon, before color television was commonplace. Moreover, the controls are simple, so that everyone can participate.
5. Textlicious
With Textlicious you make words in bold, oblique and crossed out in apps where this is not normally possible, such as the official Twitter application. You can also use various fonts. That way, your messages will stand out from the crowd.
Textlicious is therefore especially a godsend when you work a lot with non-standard apps. After all, many pre-installed programs, such as Notes, already have text formatting functions. In other popular apps, such as WhatsApp, it is already possible to give text a personal touch.
