The week is over and that means that a fresh app overview is waiting for you! As far as we are concerned, you should not miss these new apps, games and updates. You can find the best iOS apps from week 28 here.
The best iOS apps at a glance
The App Store works overtime every week to handle the never-ending stream of new apps and updates. However, you will hardly notice this, because only a small part of it is worth installing. If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch can use some new apps, you’ve come to the right place.
1. Habitify
Habitify is a habit tracker that helps you learn good habits. Put the habits in the app that you want to teach yourself and Habitify will ensure that you get started with them every day. It notifies you at various times during the day with what to do, such as ‘Go for a 10 minute walk’ or ‘Read a book for 30 minutes’. On the calendar you can always see per day which exercise you can expect in which part of the day.
The app has just received a major update in which a few useful extra features have been rolled out. For example, you can lock sensitive information in the app with Touch ID or Face Id and a dark mode has been added as an option. Also handy: Habitify synchronizes on all your Apple devices, so you can switch effortlessly between your iPhone and Apple Watch, for example.
2. Room Racer AR
Augmented reality games are popping up like mushrooms. Between all the AR violence there is the game Room Racer AR, which takes you back to your youth. The new app lets you place a race track anywhere you want. Take on bots in single player mode or play against your friends in multiplayer mode. The controls are kept simple, press the screen to accelerate.
There are nine standard race tracks to choose from. When you have completed all of these, you can build your own tracks via the Track Builder. The app even resembles Mario Kart, as you can collect all kinds of power-ups while racing to pester your opponents.
3. LogoBrush
LogoBrush lets you design and design your own logos, without having to pay big bucks for them. You can choose from more than 1 million designs that are fully customizable. The app is intended to allow people with no design experience to design their own logo.
Choose your own design style, background and font. Do you want to make your own business card or other card? Even then the app offers a solution, because the logos can be as large as you want.
4. Gboard
Gboard, Google’s keyboard, has had a special update. Last week, Google announced that it has added Morse code to Gboard for iOS. The feature was first tested in a beta version for Android. When you turn on the Morse function, the keyboard area fills with two large semicolon icons. How often and at what pace you press this ensures that you get certain word suggestions as you are used to.
To ensure that users can actually type in Morse, they have the Morse Typing Trainer game made. Google says it can teach users Morse code within an hour. It can be practiced on both your iPhone and Mac.
