On Facebook you can become friends with someone, but you can also follow someone. When someone follows you, that person will see the personal updates that you publish publicly in their news feed. So not the messages that you only allow for friends. How can you keep an eye on those Facebook followers?
Who can follow?
After you have logged in to Facebook you will see an arrow pointing down in the top right corner, which you use to open the menu. Select the Settings and privacy and then click Settings. In the left sidebar you choose Public posts. And then you read the text in the right part Who can follow me? Here you determine whether only you Friends can follow you. If you Public anyone can follow you. This setting does not apply to people who follow you on Marketplace. On a smartphone, you open the menu by tapping the three horizontal lines at the bottom right of the screen. Then scroll down Settings and Privacy to open. In this section, tap Settings and then you have to scroll again until you get to the item Privacy comes and here you do the same as in the browser.

View followers
To see who is following you, tap the icon with the three horizontal arrows, which is the menu button. Then select your name to go to your profile page. Then tap View your data in info. This will take you to the page with all the information about your profile and then use the Following button to see the list of everyone who follows you. In the desktop browser you also go to your own profile page. Press the button Friends in the tabs below your photo. And then you see the button Next. If you don’t see this button, it means that no one is following you yet.
Unfollow?
If you are bothered by a certain follower, you cannot, in principle, let it unfollow. He or she must do that himself. You can block that person so that they can no longer see anything on your profile. If you do that, you will no longer be able to see anything on his or her profile. To do this, go to that person’s profile in the Facebook browser or mobile app. Click on the three dots to the right under that person’s name and then choose from the menu To block and confirm.
