This year, Apple is again generous when it comes to awards. Not only are apps awarded, but games, music, films, TV shows, podcasts and books are also mentioned.
The graphics design app Procreate Pocket is the best iOS app of the year according to Apple. Procreate Pocket is a comprehensive app in which you can draw, paint or illustrate. Available on both the iPhone and iPad, the app gives graphic designers a powerful tool to keep them working all the time.
The best game of the year, according to Apple, is Donut Country, a comic game in which you solve puzzles by moving a hole in the ground and swallowing objects and people.
The best iPad app of the year is Froggipedia, an ARKit app that allows students to dissect a frog using augmented reality, without sacrificing a real animal for it. The best iPad game is the impressive Gorogoa, a puzzle game in which you switch perspectives to solve puzzles using optical illusions. The full list of app winners is as follows.
