The best iOS apps at a glance
The App Store is working overtime every week to process the endless stream of new apps and updates. However, you hardly notice this, because only a small part is worth installing. If your iPhone or iPad could use some new apps, you’ve come to the right place for the best iOS apps.
1. Skype
After a test period, Skype has finally added screen sharing. This means that during a video call you allow the other person to watch what is happening on your screen.
During a video call in the app you can, for example, show your PowerPoint presentation to your classmate or Tinder while your best friend is watching. While there are several business chat apps that offer this, competitors like Google Duo, FaceTime or WhatsApp don’t offer it yet.
2. Berkanan Messenger
The festival season has started and during such a festival you don’t always have good coverage or internet. Berkanan Messenger is the solution for you and your friends. The app is a group chat service that works via bluetooth. As a result, Berkanan is not dependent on (overloaded) cell towers, but on proximity to the others. This way you will always find your friends in the crowd.
Conveniently, you don’t need internet to use Berkanan, which also saves you data. Messages travel from device to device and are therefore relatively public. Sending encrypted messages is also possible, but then there should be no more than 70 meters between the sender and receiver.
3. Little Logger
New parents can easily keep track of their children’s fortunes with Little Logger. The app lets you keep track of all kinds of activities, such as how many diapers you change in a day, feeding times, the amount of sleep and keeping track of height and weight.
This will give you a nice overview of the growth of your baby after a while, but also whether things stand out. It is possible to keep track of the activities of several children at the same time.
4. Wonder Boy
The cult classic Wonder Boy has made its way to the App Store. As a half human, half lizard you start this game, looking for a way to make Wonder Boy fully human again. Through castles and along beaches and other trails you must defeat snakes, crabs and other creatures to earn coins.
The further you get, the closer you are to healing, but also increasingly turning into a lizard. A bit of tactics to reach the end as quickly as possible is therefore necessary. There are three different gameplay types, depending on how hard or easy you want the game to be.
