The week is over and that means a fresh app overview is waiting for you! You should not miss out on these new apps, games and updates. The best iOS apps of week 28 (2019) can be found here.
The best iOS apps at a glance
The App Store is working overtime every week to process the endless stream of new apps and updates. However, you hardly notice this, because only a small part is worth installing. If your iPhone or iPad could use some new apps, you’ve come to the right place for the best iOS apps.
1. dr. Mario World
dr. Mario World, the second Mario game for iOS, is now available for download in the Dutch App Store. Lovers of Dr. Mario knows that the mustachioed plumber in this game series doesn’t jump and runs through levels, but solves puzzles by spinning colored pills.
As soon as two pills of the same colors touch each other, they disappear from view and your score goes up. There are several worlds to play through, with hundreds of individual levels. To play the Mario game you also need a continuous internet connection.
2. Telegram
It has been possible to send stickers with Telegram for years, but with the latest update moving pictures are also added. The moving pictures are only 20 to 30KB in size. As a result, they take up less space and send faster than normal photos.
The animated stickers also consume less energy than gifs, which is beneficial for the battery life of your iPhone or iPad. If you have installed the latest version of Telegram, you will see the animated stickers under a new button in the menu that also contains the normal stickers and gif images.
3. 1 Second Everyday
With the 1 Second Everyday app, you can capture memories in an original way by filming one second every day. All these short clips together form a visual diary of your life. You can simply film something every day, but you can also create special projects to, for example, film every day how your belly is growing during a pregnancy or your puppy is getting bigger.
You can optionally add text to each video, so that when you look back later you also know the context of that event. The app has had a major update, so you can now easily swipe through days.
4. Very Little Nightmares
In Very Little Nightmares, your job is to guide Six, the girl in the yellow raincoat, to the exit of a cursed house. Everything in the mansion called The Nest wants to kill her, and it’s up to you to make sure she gets through every room unscathed.
The game is derived from the PC and console game Little Nightmares and serves as a so-called prequel. Dodge enemies and traps, solve puzzles and unravel the secrets of the house. You do this in a beautifully designed game full of details that keep you busy.
