Dyme helps you keep an overview of all your expenses by mapping out your fixed costs and subscriptions. But the app does more to help you save as much money as possible.
Dyme lets you save money smartly
Dyme is a Dutch app that makes a link with your bank account to map out all your monthly costs. The app automatically detects all your fixed expenses based on your statements and shows them in a handy overview.
Dyme can import this data thanks to PSD2. This is a European law that states that a third party, Dyme, can access your account. However, this only happens when you want it to and explicitly request it. For example by using this app. In addition, the app has the same security as your banking app, so your data is never shared with others or stored.

The connection with your bank is only made to be able to analyze which statements are regularly presented. If you do not fully trust it to import your fixed costs from your bank, it is always possible to enter them manually. The app works with ING, ABN Amro, Rabobank, American Express and N26.
Clear insights
As soon as your expenses are listed, you immediately get a clear overview. You can see how much you have lost in total each month, but also how many fixed cost items you have and how much these amount to. If you tap on a subscription or insurance, you can also see at a glance how much you spend on this per year.
The app may not map out all your fixed costs, for example because you pay the rent together with someone else or you have just taken out a new subscription. In that case, you can easily add what kind of cost it is, what the payment interval is and in which category it falls. The app is not useful at all times, but it is definitely useful when you want to map out your financial situation.
Cancel and switch
What is special is that you can also cancel subscriptions to services from the app. According to the makers, the average person pays 50 euros per month in unnecessary subscriptions. The goal is that you can fish out the bad apples in Dyme’s overview. You can then cancel these subscriptions quickly and easily from the app.
In addition to canceling subscriptions, Dyme also helps with switching. The app searches for the best deals for, for example, a new energy supplier or internet provider and arranges the switch. After all, switching regularly also saves you money and the threshold is only lowered by being able to do this from a single app.
