The 6 Best iOS Apps in the App Store from Week 44 – 2019

It’s Sunday again and that means it’s time for an overview of the best apps, games and updates. These are the best iOS apps from week 44 of 2019.

Last week’s 6 best iOS apps

The App Store is working overtime every week. New apps, updates for existing programs and games are added all the time. You probably don’t notice this much, because most of it is not worth downloading. iPhoned therefore separate the wheat from the chaff every Sunday. Here are this week’s best iOS apps, updates, and games.

1. The Swords of Ditto

In The Swords of Ditto, you set out on an adventure to defeat the witch Mormo. Every century this evil rises again, to shake the land of Ditto. You have four days to prepare for this fight.

The weapons in the game consist of toys that you improve with stickers. Are you going to die? Then a century later you start again with a new character. You will keep your experience, but all your toys and stickers will be lost. By mastering the combat system and finding better toys, you should eventually be able to defeat Mormo.

2. Haunt the House: Terrortown

In Haunt the House you will find out what the life of a ghost is like. This 2D puzzle game lets you take over objects so you can terrify people. That sounds serious, but thanks to the colorful and cartoonish graphic style, it isn’t. This makes for a fun puzzle game for both older and younger players, and is well worth the purchase price.

The ghost flies through different rooms in the house. For example, you can sit in a lamp or clock and startle the people who come near you. The more you scare them, the more points you earn.

3. A Case of Distrust

We stay in the spooky realms with A Case of Distrust. The year is 1924 and you are a female detective who becomes involved in a mysterious murder case in San Francisco. In the cartoon-like style with silhouettes, you investigate the perpetrator.

In smoky billiart cafes and classic barbershops, you talk to suspicious characters and try to figure out who is lying and who is telling the truth. As a female detective you also come into contact with the poorly emancipated San Francisco of the 1920s.

4. Gwent: The Witcher Card Game

In this cool card game you imagine yourself in a magical, but violent world. It’s not just any card game: it’s a dynamic and exciting game that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Use different strategies to wage war and put down the right cards to take out your opponent. Not unimportant: the animations of this game look beautiful.

5. Forgotten Memories

In this creepy Resident Evil-esque game, you play as Rose Hawkins, a woman who is looking for a missing child. She wakes up in a place she doesn’t know, and while searching for the missing girl, she finds that time stands still. Rose must overcome her worst fears to solve this mystery.

Visually, the game looks terrifyingly good. You imagine yourself in a real horror movie as you go through dark rooms looking for hints that can help you escape. Do you dare?

6. WhatsApp

WhatsApp’s latest iOS update finally fixes an annoying bug. There will no longer be a badge above the WhatsApp icon if you have a message from a muted conversation.

The update may be small, but it’s important. Previously, you could mute group and individual conversations in WhatsApp, but as soon as a message was sent in a muted conversation, you still saw a badge above the WhatsApp icon.
