Apple has updated Clips. The short movie maker app now also supports Animoji and Memoji. You can also get started with some special Disney stickers from now on. That is how it works.
Add Animoji and Memoji in Clips
Clips is Apple’s answer to Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok. In a simple way you can spice up photos and videos with effects and filters. As of today, this includes Animoji and Memoji. Placing effects is a snap.
Here’s how to add Animoji and Memoji in Clips:
- Make sure you have the latest version of Clips;
- Open the app and tap the colorful star to the right of the red video button;
- A new screen will now open in which you can add all kinds of effects;
- Choose which Animoji or Memoji you want to add;
- Edit the Clip however you want.
Clips automatically retrieves all Animoji and Memoji you’ve created, so you don’t have to add them manually. You can add as many effects as you want, and for example apply different layers.
Even if you already want to spice up an already recorded video, the update is useful. You can also add Animoji after a recorded video, and adjust it to your liking. In addition, Apple has added some unique Disney stickers to the app, as well as a poster that reads “Let it snow”.
The animated stickers and emoji automatically follow the movements of your face. This means that an added pair of sunglasses will always stay in the right place, for example, whichever way your face goes. The same goes for effects like a speech bubble.
