The new week is just around the corner, but before that, let’s take a look back at the last seven days. The editors of iPhoned have listed the best iOS apps, games and updates from last week.
Last week’s 5 best iOS apps
The App Store is working overtime every week. New apps, updates for existing programs and games are added all the time. You probably don’t notice this much, because most of it is not worth downloading. iPhoned therefore separates the wheat from the chaff every Sunday. Here are this week’s best iOS apps, updates, and games.

1. Spotify
Spotify introduced a new feature this week especially for people with pets. The new Pets Playlist puts together a playlist based on your music, especially for your four-legged friend or other pet. You don’t create the playlist in the Spotify app, but in the browser. That is very easy. Through this link go to the page to save your own pet’s preferences.
You follow the steps on the page to create a playlist, and then save it in your Spotify app. You can save the playlist in your Spotify account via the browser, so that you can always easily return to it. Every time you make a playlist, new songs are added. So you can go on endlessly to get a new list again and again

2. Instagram
Instagram has added three new effects to Boomerang: Slowmo, Echo and Duo. With these effects you can play slow, blurry or accelerated videos. You can also trim videos now. This is how the new functions work. The app ironically announced the new features on Twitter.
The update comes not a moment too late, because since Boomerang was added to Instagram five years ago, the effect has not been updated. Moreover, the competition does have these effects. The three new functions work as you would expect. Slowmo slows down the image, while Duo speeds everything up twice. Echo adds a kind of haze to your video, which can sometimes produce a nice result.

3. Poof
Nice, those to-do list apps. But if you’re not careful, the app quickly fills up with a huge amount of tasks that you will do ‘someday’ again. The Poof app takes a different approach: this app gives you up to 24 hours to complete a task and keeps track of your performance statistics. For example, you can give each task a time indication, so that you receive a notification when the assignment must be completed.
That makes Poof not suitable for long-term projects in which you plan things ahead or commit to the long term, but it is suitable for daily activities that run the risk of being endlessly postponed. With Poof you have an app with a smooth design that chases you to complete your tasks at least as smoothly.

4. Duplicate
The best app of the week is without a doubt Doublicat. This app scans a photo of your face, and then places it in animated gifs. This way you suddenly put yourself in the skin of Tony Stark, Kanye West or any other famous person. Unfortunately, the app does not have a search function, but it does have filters for Star Wars, Friends and other popular movies and series.
From the app you can easily save your creation to your camera roll, or share it directly in apps such as WhatsApp and Telegram. The app is free to use but does have some commercials, but that didn’t stop us from creating countless gifs where one result looked even more disturbing than the last.
