The new week is just around the corner, but before that, let’s take a look back at the last seven days. The editors of iPhoned has rounded up the best iOS apps, games and updates from last week.
Last week’s 4 best iOS apps
The Apple App Store is working overtime every week. New apps, updates to existing applications and games appear all the time. You probably don’t notice this much, because most of the programs are not worth downloading. iPhoned therefore separate the wheat from the chaff every Sunday. Here are the best iOS apps, updates, and games from last week.
1. Never Winter Nights
The classic PC game Neverwinter Nights is now available for iOS and iPadOS. The package does not only contain the standard game, because the additional expansions are also present. All in all, Neverwinter Nights guarantees at least 100 hours of fun, according to the makers.
Neverwinter Nights is a classic role-playing game in which you fight your way through dark dungeons, defeat hordes of enemies and all the while making your character (and the team) stronger by collecting new weapons, for example. The game now has a cult following and is especially fun to play on the iPad. The operation on an iPhone does not always work well.
2. Google Maps
You probably already use Google Maps to get from A to B, but since last week the navigation service also works on the dashboard of Apple’s platform for on the go. That way you can put the navigation on the home screen of CarPlay.
That is handy, because that way you have space on one half of the screen for directions, but you can place the small music player from Spotify on the other side, for example. For example, your next calendar appointments also remain in the picture.
3. Set App
Setapp has been working not only on your Mac since last week, but also on your iPhone. The ‘Netflix for apps’ has made the switch. From now on you will also find special iOS apps in Setapp. However, the offer is limited for the time being. There are currently eight iOS apps available.

Setapp gives you access to all kinds of apps for a fixed amount per month that you normally have to pay for. It is therefore comparable to, for example, Netflix or Apple Arcade, but for apps. The majority of the apps are available for macOS, but the makers promise to support more and more iOS applications in the future.
→ Try Setapp free for seven days (then $9.99 per month)
4. Robotics
The creators of Cut the Rope are back with a new game. In Robotics! make your own robot from individual parts. Once you’ve finished building, release it into the game world, after which you’ll have to teach the robot to walk and fight. You control the game by moving parts of the robot in certain directions.
Robotics is’easy to learn, hard to master‘ as the English call it. You put the robot together like this and fighting is probably easy, but as the game progresses you notice that it gets more and more spicy. Robotics! is free to play, but does offer in-app purchases.
