The new week is just around the corner, but before that, let’s take a look back at the last seven days. The editors of iPhoned has rounded up the best iOS apps, games and updates from last week.
Last week’s 4 best iOS apps
The Apple App Store is working overtime every week. New apps, updates to existing applications and games appear all the time. You probably don’t notice this much, because most of the programs are not worth downloading. iPhoned therefore separates the wheat from the chaff every Sunday. Here are the best iOS apps, updates, and games from last week.
1. Instagram Reels
Instagram launches attack on TikTok. Last week, the Facebook subsidiary released Reels. From now on you can record short videos of up to six seconds under the camera button of Instagram and provide them with all kinds of animations and funny effects.

You can then share Instagram Reels on your Insta profile, but you can also add them to your Story. The advantage of option number 1 is that your video may end up on the Discover tab of the app, where an audience of millions is present. Last week we listed other TikTok alternatives in addition to Instagram Reels.
2. Tikkie Check
The immensely popular payment app Tikkie now also comes in handy on the terrace. Last week, maker ABN Amro released Tikkie Check, a new function for catering operators. This allows cafe and restaurant owners to allow guests to pay contactless with their smartphone.

It works very simply. Take a seat and scan the QR code on the table. Then place your order with the staff and enjoy the drink. Have you drunk enough? Then you ‘just’ pay via Tikkie, without having to ask for a receipt. Then it is very easy to split the bill with any company.
3. Gun Rounds
In cowboy movies, sooner or later, a showdown occurs. Two cowboys face each other with one hand on the holster to take each other out as quickly as possible with bullets. In Gun Rounds you do much the same, but safely from your iPhone.
Shooting each other is central to the game. First you may fire a shot, after which it is the turn of the opponent(s). Then you try to take each other apart in turn. In addition, good reaction time is important in Gun Rounds, because by tapping the screen at exactly the right time you can fend off attacks from enemies.
4. Burpee Hero
Many people find it difficult to make exercise a habit. Going for a run or going to the gym is still OK, but making it a habit can be tough. Burpee Hero tries to help with that. The new app tries to motivate you by making sports more fun.

Burpee Hero does that by giving you a doll. By performing squats, push-ups, sit-ups and burpees you ensure that your Burpee Hero becomes more and more powerful. You also earn money (in-game) to buy additional equipment for your sports fanatic.
