The new week is just around the corner, but before that, let’s take a look back at the last seven days. The editors of iPhoned has rounded up the best iPhone apps, games and updates from last week.
The 4 best iPhone apps from week 36 – 2020
Apple’s App Store is working overtime every week. New apps, updates to existing applications and games appear all the time. You probably don’t notice this much, because most of the programs are not worth downloading. iPhoned therefore separate the wheat from the chaff every Sunday. Here are the best iOS apps, updates, and games from last week.
1. Bright Paw
Cats and puzzles: combine the two and you have a top game. In Bright Paw you take on the role of a cat. Your owner (who also happens to be a super villain) has been murdered and you are trying to find out who the culprit is.
You set out to get revenge. Gradually you solve all kinds of puzzles and unravel great secrets. You learn more and more, but you also have to solve increasingly difficult puzzles. In the end, you can take revenge and give the perpetrators what they deserve.
2. Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower
If you like strategic fighting games, Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower is definitely worth a try. Enthusiasts will already know the title from the board game and console games, but a mobile version has also been launched this week.
In Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower, the goal is to climb the silver tower. That is not without a struggle, because during the game you have to fight your way through hordes of enemies. As befits a good RPG, you can put together your own team and you have to take into account the unique strengths and weaknesses of these characters. The game is free to play, but does offer in-app purchases.
3. Truberbrook
Trüberbrook, also written as Trueberbrook, is a narrative and immersive game set in the German countryside of the 1960s. You take on the role of Hans Tannhauser, a young American scientist who fails his PhD research and tries to overcome this mental block in the remote town of Trüberbrook.
As befits a good thriller, the story quickly takes on its own life. After all, you are told that you ended up in the German countryside because you won a trip through the lottery, but is this really the case? In terms of gameplay, Truberbrook is a point & click-game: you tap the screen to make Hans move, or start a conversation with someone.
4. Murderous Pursuits
In Murderous Pursuits you are at a party that is anything but cozy. You play together with seven other players where you have to kill each other in broad daylight, without making yourself suspicious.
host mr. X gives you a target to kill each time. While you are looking for your victim, other guests may just be after you. Also watch out for the guards as they can lock you up if you are seen.
