The new week is just around the corner, but before that, let’s take a look back at the last seven days. The editors of iPhoned has rounded up the best iOS apps, games and updates from last week.
Last week’s best iOS apps
The App Store is working overtime every week. New apps, updates to existing programs and games are added all the time. You probably don’t notice this much, because most of it is not worth downloading. iPhoned therefore separate the wheat from the chaff every Sunday. Here are this week’s best iOS apps, updates, and games.
1. Tasks
Tasks app Tasks has had a major update. Besides the fact that there is now a macOS version of the app, the iOS version of Tasks has also received some improvements. For example, the task overview has a new design and it is now easier to add photos to tasks.

With the update that also includes a macOS version, Tasks becomes more of a universal app that you can sync with all your Apple devices via iCloud. The app is free, but you pay 15 euros annually to make all functions available.
2. Heroes War Counter Attack
Heroes War: Counterattack is an RPG game set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies. Global warming has released a virus trapped under glaciers. A vaccine came too late and humanity is doomed.
In the game you can choose whether to join the Survivors Union, the group of survivors, or the Harz Alliance: these people are infected with the zombie virus, but are still conscious. In the group you choose, you can choose different campaigns and fight against other enemies.
3. Destiny Child: Defense War
Destiny Child: Defense War has nothing to do with Beyoncé, although it is all about survival. You choose your favorite character to compete with other players from all over the world. The more matches you win, the closer you get to the top in the Demon Colosseum League.
Here you can also fight together with members of your clan or your friends. Your attacks or defenses consist of a series of cards that you collect along the way. This is how you determine your own strategy. The further you get, the better your cards will become. The game is free to play.
4. The Tree
This fairytale game is all about strategy. The goal is to grow your own tree, while thwarting the growth of other players. When you play which card it also affects your tree.
The first person to fully grow the tree wins. The game can be played alone or against up to three other players. You can choose from four different worlds inspired by popular folklore. The app can be downloaded for 5.49 euros, but you get a fun and addictive game for the whole family in return.
5. What the Wave?
The popular Apple Arcade game What the Golf has had an update. With that, the app is completely ready for the winter, because you can now play mini golf in beautiful winter landscapes. In addition, the game introduces another thirty new levels.
Think, for example, of playing golf with a snowman, a carrot or a sled. If you have an Apple Arcade subscription, this award-winning game is definitely worth a try.
