The 4 best iPhone apps and games of the week

Before the new week starts, let’s take a look back at the past few days. The iPhonededitors have rounded up this week’s best iPhone apps, games, and updates for you.

Last week’s best iPhone apps and games

The App Store is working overtime every week. New apps, updates to existing programs and all kinds of games are popping up all the time. You will probably not notice this much, because most of it is not worth downloading. Every Sunday iPhoned therefore separates the wheat from the chaff. Here are the best iPhone apps, updates, and games from last week.

1. DoMarks

DoMarks is a bookmark saving app, with one important twist. You can link actions to the things you save. For example, while writing down a website address, you can indicate that you want to listen to a certain Spotify album or that you would like to make a dish.

In the same way you can create viewing tips for yourself or indicate that you will read a long article at a later time. So, DoMarks is actually a cross between a bookmarks app (à la Pocket) and Apple’s Calendar app. It works on all Apple devices and your data is synced in the background. So your to-do list/bookmark list is always up to date. DoMarks is free but some features require you to pull the wallet.

2. Slashy Camp

are you crazy about slasher movies from the 80s and Crossy Roads, the iconic game in which you have to make a chicken cross the road? Then Slashy Camp is the game you’ve been waiting for. In this game you take on the role of SkullFace, a villain who targets defenseless visitors to a summer camp.

Slashy Camp • SkullFace is BACK!

It’s up to you to hunt down your prey as quickly as possible, because if you linger, you’re done. The game world gradually shifts like in Crossy Roads. While chasing victims, you gain experience points that you can use to purchase better weapons. Slashy Camp is a free game but does offer in-app purchases.

3. Flash Master

Flitsmeister is in our opinion one of the best navigation apps for CarPlay, Apple’s platform for behind the wheel. The navigation app received an update last week and therefore has ride registration. This allows you to keep track of which rides you make privately, and which rides should be put on the business.

This option is particularly useful for people who still have to travel for work and who declare a mileage allowance from their employer, for example. After enabling the function, you can indicate per trip whether it was private or business. You can then share this overview with your employer. Flitsmeister does charge money for the ability to keep track of rides: it costs 4.49 euros per month.

4. Queen: Rock Tour

Queen has its own iPhone game since last week. In Queen: Rock Tour you relive the turbulent history of the band and recreate the biggest and most iconic concerts. Rock Tour is a rhythm game, as you may know from the Rock Band games.

As the band plays, musical notes fall on the various tracks. It’s up to you to touch the screen with both thumbs at exactly the right time, or to hold the display for a while. Extra nice is that the colors correspond to the different band members. For example, if you miss a green note, Freddy Mercury is silent for a while. The full game costs 3.49 euros, but you can try it for free.
