Users of Sonos speakers can already adjust many things with the included app, but with Soro you can further automate the system.

Soro review: automate the use of Sonos speakers

Soro uses the part Assignments of iOS, where you can create tasks using all the smart devices you have in your home that are part of the Apple ecosystem.

Soro supports creating actions for Sonos (both for the new S2 and original S1 systems). For example, you can play and pause music, for example if you create a ‘Good night’ action: the music is turned down, a specific playlist is started and the smart Hue lighting in the house is dimmed.

To get started quickly, you can choose from a selection of shortcuts (such as the music playback mentioned above), which you can then use as building blocks to workflow of different actions. The only additional requirement is that the iPhone you’re running Soro on is part of the same network as the smart devices. It is also important to realize that this is an unofficial Sonos app. For support, you are therefore dependent on the makers and not on Sonos.
