If you are looking for an app to keep track of your activities and time use, TimeJot is worth a look.
The new app is particularly notable for its distinctive way of tracking activities: these are shown in a visual timeline. In that respect, the display is comparable to the news feed as you often find on social media. Furthermore, the app uses a minimalist user environment with only one button, with which you add new activities.
You can assign the activities to categories that you can create yourself and then have the timeline show only specific activities. Over time, the timeline can become extensive: use the filter function to select a defined period. The app also supports widgets, so you can see a selection of activities on the home screen.
While you can also use the app for business tracking, it seems to be mostly focused on personal tasks. In our view, this limitation is mainly imposed by the number of details that you can impose per activity and the lack of a sharing function with which you can share (parts of) a project.
