The Best iOS Feature You’re Not Using (and Saving So Much Time)

iOS 15 is packed with great features that take everyday use of your iPhone to the next level. But what if I told you that the best feature you don’t use has been around since iOS 14?

Last year I already made some people enthusiastic about this feature and this year I want to do it again. I’m talking about functionality Tap back (also: Back Tap). A feature that I think you should really try

You want to try this iOS feature

It doesn’t matter which iPhone you have at home. If you have access to iOS 14, you’re in the right place. The functionality Tap back was introduced with the operating system last year. While it is mainly intended for people with disabilities, it is actually useful for every user. Why? Because it adds an extra “secret” button to your iPhone.

By setting the functionality it is possible to tap twice and three times on the back of your smartphone. For example, you can turn on the flashlight with the first action and turn the flashlight off again with the second action. But via this route it is also possible to open your camera, activate Siri or call your favorite contact. If you can create an assignment with it via the Assignments app, you can also set it as an extra button in iOS.

How do you enable the feature?

Enabling the functionality is actually quite easy. On your iOS device, go to Institutions and select the option Accessibility. Look for the heading Physical and motor and select the option To touch. Scroll down until you Tap back encounters. In the next screen you will be given the option to add an action to Double tap and on Triple tap.

Voila! You have now added an extra button to your iPhone and that probably saves some actions and time. Ideal? I thought so!
