Can we do without mobile (internet) for a week? Research shows that the majority of Dutch people cannot do this.

More than half of the Dutch indicate that they cannot do without mobile (internet) for a week. It turns out

This has emerged from a survey by Allesin1 among 1,032 Dutch people, conducted by Panelwizard. Despite the large number of people who indicate that they cannot do without a telephone for a week, four in ten respondents would like to cut back. The largest group of respondents (64 percent) who want to be less mobile dependent is under the age of 40. This is 36 percent among people in their forties. According to Ibrahim Agdere of Allesin1, a mobile has increasingly become a primary necessity of life.

Techno stress and waste of time
No less than 35 percent of those surveyed experience stress as a result of using their mobile phone. In addition, smartphone users have less time for hobbies and sports because of their phones. Even now, it is mainly the younger Dutch under forty who suffer from this stress and waste of time. Where this is 55 percent for experiencing stress, this is 35 percent for wasted time. For people over 40 this is 27 percent and 16 percent. Agdere: “Because we work from home a lot, ‘techno stress’ is becoming more common, especially among young people. We are always available, reports come through constantly and empty batteries sometimes lead to panic.”

Furthermore, the research has shown that 20 percent of Dutch people from all age groups do not know how to reduce screen time.
