Explore the Binnenhof digitally

Guides Alexander Pechtold and Charlotte Nijs take you on a digital tour through the Binnenhof in The Hague. Take a look at the Torentje or visit the Ridderzaal or the Binnenhofplein. On the website Courtyard Online make a fun and educational digital trip, without having to take the train to The Hague. The website consists of 360-degree photos with all kinds of information about the halls, squares and rooms.

There are two ways to navigate through the site: by clicking on spaces on a map yourself, or by following one of the guides. In his routes, politician Alexander Pechtold tells about the art history of the buildings and outdoor spaces. Journalist Charlotte Nijs tells you in the series ‘What happens to your voice?’ about the political process.

As mentioned there are two guides. Follow one like this:

• Go to https://binnenhofonline.nl/
• Click on one of the guides: Alexander Pechtold or Charlotte Nijs. Both tell about different aspects of the Binnenhof.
• Click on an episode.
• click on Start the tour. After this, the tour will start playing automatically.
• click on Continue the tour.
• click on Go inside. Here too, an explanation will automatically play.
• At the end of the explanation you can still look around yourself. Click your mouse on the screen and drag to look around. You can zoom in and out with the mouse wheel.
• Do you see a yellow plus on the map? Click on it for more information.
• With the button at the top right you close the episode and you can follow a new episode.
