The IP address is the address by which computers on the Internet recognize each other. Find out your own IP address.
What is an IP address?
Every computer connected to the Internet has a unique number, the IP address. Based on the IP address, computers recognize each other and can then communicate. You can think of it as a kind of telephone number for computers. Websites sometimes also use the IP address, for example to guess where you are. The internet provider, such as Ziggo on KPN, assigns the address to you. The IP address generally consists of four strings of numbers separated by a period. But some IP addresses consist of numbers and letters separated by a colon.
Where can I find my IP address?
Sometimes it can be useful to find out your IP address. This is easiest via a website that displays your IP address.
- Go to whatsmijnip.nl
