The streaming service Viaplay will be available in the Netherlands from 1 March 2022 with a nice range of premium live sports, Viaplay Originals, international films and series. Their offer is a subscription of 99 euros for one year and can be purchased directly from Viaplay until 28 February 2022.

In terms of streaming services, there are plenty of options with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus+, Videoland, etc. New is Viaplay, which has the broadcasting rights in our country for Formula 1. Viaplay and Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen are joining forces: the collaboration between the streaming service and the brand new world champion will give viewers a unique glimpse into Verstappen’s life in the coming years. Fans can enjoy the battle on the Formula 1 circuits and see how the Dutchman copes with the pressure in and outside the paddock. This brings the fascinating life of the pure racer and human Max Verstappen closer than ever.

Football, darts and more sports

Viaplay offers a wide and diverse range of sports such as Formula 1 with national hero Max Verstappen and PDC Darts with three-time World Champion Michael van Gerwen. But also the Matchroom snooker and pool events and all KSW mixed martial arts tournaments can be seen via the streaming service. Football fans are catered for with Bundesliga football, Italian A-series women’s football and Sweden’s Damallsvenskan. From August 2022, this list will be supplemented with Premier League football.

Dragons’ Den

With the creation of local content as an important spearhead, Dragons’ Den will be Viaplay’s first Dutch production. The world-renowned program in which entrepreneurs get the chance to pitch their business ideas to a panel of renowned investors will be exclusively on Viaplay from spring 2022.

Viaplay Originals

More than thirty original productions will be available under the name Viaplay Originals, including ‘Love Me’, ‘The Box’, ‘Honour’, ‘Threesome’ and the winner of the 2020 Canneseries ‘Partisan’. Viaplay is the largest Scandinavian producer of drama series and has more than 60 premieres planned for 2022.
