It’s only coming out in two months, but an unboxing video of Google Pixel 6a has already surfaced. In this we see, among other things, the fingerprint unlocking under the screen and how Google Tensor is now officially a brand that is on the box.
Unboxing Google Pixel 6a
In a video from Google Retail Training France (thanks reddit) you can see what the Pixel 6a’s box looks like, in addition to showing more of how the device looks and lies in the hand. There is no charging block with this smartphone, which means that the packaging in which the device is delivered is quite small. It does come with a USB-C cable and a Quick Switch Adapter that goes from USB-A to USB-C. The warranty and the quick manual, plus the sim pin, follow in a separate box.
What is also striking is how Tensor is represented as a brand. There is even a graphic representation of the chip on the packaging. Also check minute 1:56 of the video, because here you can see the fingerprint scanner. For this, Google would have chosen a different part than in Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. It seems to work quickly, which is very important in a fingerprint scanner.
Sensitive to stains
Once inside the phone you will see the Pixel Launcher and the video shows the At a Glance widget. Attention is also paid to the 12.2 MP dual pixel lens and the 12 MP ultrawide cameras. Unfortunately, we also see another aspect of the device, namely that this back of the phone is very sensitive to spots. So don’t eat chips or apply cream and touch your phone.
Google Pixel 6a costs 459 euros and is available in the colors green, white and black (Sage, Chalk and Charcoal). You can buy it online from July 21 and in store from July 28. Unfortunately, this does not apply to the Netherlands, so you can only order the device via the German or French Google Store or via a Dutch web store (where you often lose more money).
