With this 27-inch ProLite XUB2792HSC, Iiyama offers a nice and sleek monitor with USB-C connector.

iiyama 2

Iiyama offers 27-inch monitors with various resolutions including fhd (1920 x 1080), qhd (2560 x 1440) and 4K/uhd with 3840 x 2160 pixels. The more pixels, the sharper the image and the more information becomes available on the screen. This test model is equipped with a fairly large 27-inch IPS screen with FHD resolution. Most of the systems and laptops use this resolution, as it offers a good price-performance ratio. The advantage of this resolution is that the data is all displayed somewhat larger. Another advantage, when used as a second screen, is that the mouse can be moved across the entire side without collisions as with higher resolution screens.
This slim and virtually borderless black monitor has a matte 1920 x 1080 @75Hz IPS display. IPS is known for its correct color rendering and a wide (178°) viewing angle. The color gamut is a neat 99% sRGB with a brightness of 250 cd/m2, good for use in the office or study. The static contrast is 1000:1 and the pixel response time is 4 ms.

The monitor is connected via HDMI, DisplayPort or USB-C. The USB-C port is also good for delivering 65W via Power Delivery and pairs with an inbuilt usb-c hub with two usb-3 ports. These two USB-a ports on the left side provide 5V with 900 mA. In addition to the power cable, an HDMI and USB-C cable are included. A USB-C to USB-A cable and DisplayPort cable are not available. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack near the USB connection. There are 2 x 2 watt speakers built in for the reproduction of moderate and hollow sound. When using a system with USB-C, only one cable is required, which ensures a clean desk.

The control of the screen is flicker-free and has a reduction option for blue light, so that the eyes are minimally strained. HDCP is present, which stands for High-bandwith Digital Content Protection. The HDCP technology is used to protect audiovisual copyrights. There are 5 buttons at the bottom right of the screen for menu navigation, next to the power on/off-knob. Its operation always takes some getting used to, because it is not a daily task. All standard settings are available, including a number of ECO modes to reduce energy consumption. The power consumption, labeled E, is approximately 19 watts and 0.5 watts in stand-by or off.
All ergonomic settings are present, including: swivel, tilt, height adjustment (13 cm) and full vertical rotation of the screen, also called pivot function, on both sides. For wall mounting, among other things, a 10 cm VESA coupling is available at the rear.

In summary: a beautiful and sleek 27-inch FHD screen with a large and clear display. Great for standard home and office work.
