After a year of hints, teasers and ‘leaking’, it’s finally official: the Nothing phone (1) will be officially announced on July 12. Nothing will announce its first smartphone to the world via a live stream.
Nothing Phone (1)
The live stream will be named Return to Instinct and we expect to see the second hardware product from Nothing here, the new tech company from OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei. The first product was the Nothing Ear (1), wireless earphones that we extensively tested in this review.
According to this rumor, the Nothing Phone (1) will cost about 500 euros and will be in stores on July 21. So we are dealing with a midrange smartphone that presumably runs on Nothing OS. This software shell comes with a number of Nothing apps and one of these apps is the Nothing Launcher. This launcher is currently available for all smartphones with Android 11 or higher so you can already try it. The smartphone is expected to run on the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, Qualcomm’s mid-range chipset from 2022.
The announcement will be made on July 12 at 5:00 PM local time and you can register here to be notified of the live stream.
