Monitor manufacturer AOC announces three new multifunctional monitors from the chic V5 series with the 24V5CW, the Q27V5CW and the CU34V5CW. These are intended for home office users and students.
It’s time again back to school and monitor manufacturer AOC is cleverly responding to this with 3 new monitors. The triple addition in three sizes (24-inch/60.4 cm 24V5CW, 27-inch/68.6 cm Q27V5CW and the 34-inch/86.4 cm ultra-wide CU34V5CW) features built-in 2MP webcams with Windows Hello support for easy login and increased security, while meeting today’s video calling and meeting requirements. The 3-sided borderless V5 models are thin screens with a versatile USB-C connection and offer 65W Power Delivery to charge and power laptops or tablets with a single cable, while transferring the screen signal.
Contemporary design
Unlike bulky, uninspiring monitors, the design of the V5 Series brings a lightweight, contemporary look to modern desks and home offices. Featuring a 3-sided borderless design with a narrow chin at the bottom, a thin base (12.1mm) and an ergonomic height-adjustable stand, the V5 Series won’t compromise the chic interior design of any living space .
Versatile
The new V5CW models stand out from the rest of the V5 series with their 2MP webcam and Windows Hello support. Of course, the webcam has become crucial in today’s business and education world: video conferencing and virtual classes will remain in one form or another. The V5CW fulfills this requirement gracefully and offers even more than one would expect from a simple webcam. Windows Hello facial recognition technology allows Windows users to log in to their sessions simply by looking at the webcam and without entering a password. This improves system security and usability at the same time.
Not only are webcams a must these days, flexible working and teaching are also ubiquitous. It has become more and more common to work on a laptop at the office or university part of the week and work from home the other days. Here, the built-in 4-port USB 3.2 hub and USB-C connectivity of the V5 Series enable an easy transition to the home office in a single and easy move: just by plugging in the laptop with a single USB-C -cable. The laptop is powered and charged (up to 65W), the screen can be extended or mirrored to the monitor, and the laptop can access devices on the monitor’s USB hub. CU34V5CW
The 34inch ultra-wide CU34V5CW offers the largest canvas thanks to its curved VA panel and 1500R curvature that improves visibility to the edges and increases immersion in games and movies. A sharp, detailed resolution of UWQHD (3440×1440 pixels) makes use of most of the horizontal space, allowing it to display 3-4 windows side by side.
The CU34V5CW is an all-rounder for work and play. It offers better multitasking at work compared to 16:9 models by displaying more applications at once, but is also great for entertainment. With a deep, rich 3000:1 contrast ratio and a cinematic 21:9 aspect ratio, this model makes watching movies a pleasure, and the 100Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync support and low response times (1ms MPRT, 4ms GtG) allow see that the CU34V5CW is very suitable for gaming. The CU34V5CW also supports Picture-in-Picture (PiP) and Picture-by-Picture (PbP) modes to display two sources simultaneously.
Q27V5CW
In the 27-inch format, the Q27V5CW has an IPS panel with QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, which offers a nice pixel density at this size. The 75Hz refresh rate improves motion clarity over the more common 60Hz models, while wide viewing angles (178°/178°) and color accuracy (126% sRGB, 105% AdobeRGB, 98% DCI-P3) not be affected thanks to the IPS technology.
24V5CW
For compact desks, the smaller 24inch 24V5CW makes more sense. It offers all the functionality of their bigger siblings in a smaller 24 inch size, has a vibrant IPS panel with rich and accurate colors, an FHD resolution (1920 x 1080) and a refresh rate of 75 Hz.
Ergonomics and Ports
Ergonomic, height-adjustable tripods in all three models provide tilt and swivel adjustments (90° vertical) for the 24″ and 27″ models. The VESA mounting option in the three models offers even more versatility when used in multi-monitor settings. All three models are equipped with a 4-port USB 3.2 hub, which provides high speed for the connected devices such as USB drives, or as additional USB ports to connect other peripherals such as keyboard and mouse. Equipped with 2 5W speakers, all three models allow them to be used as video conferencing stations right out of the box.

The AOC 24V5CW, Q27V5CW and CU34V5CW will be available from August 2022 for the following suggested retail prices: the 24V5CW costs €319, the Q27V5CW has a suggested retail price of €429 and the CU34V5CW a suggested retail price tag of €609.00.
