5 reasons to switch from Safari to another browser

Do you use an iPhone, iPad or MacBook? There is a good chance that Safari is the internet browser that you do everything with. However, it may be interesting to switch to another one. We tell you five reasons why you should consider a switch.

On an iPhone or MacBook, one of the most frequently used functions is the Internet browser. Logical, because it is your access to all the information that can be found. It makes sense that you would use Safari for that, as this browser is perfectly designed for your Apple product. Only benefits you would think, but that is certainly not the case. There are situations where it might be better to choose a different browser.

#1 Customize your browser yourself

As far as browsers are concerned, Safari is the iPhone of smartphones. You can adjust some things through extensions, but it’s nothing compared to Chrome or Firefox. Where Apple mainly sticks to some basic things, you can tweak everything you want with the competition. Whether it’s games, themes, or additional features, it’s possible.

#2 You value privacy

Safari protects you pretty well while surfing the internet. For example, it is possible to hide your IP address. Still, it can be much better and for that you have to be at DuckDuckGo. For example, it has built a beta browser for the Mac that performs searches that are protected, there is smart encryption and the automatic blocking of cookies. A little less known is Brave. This browser also blocks ad trackers by default and uses an independent search engine. In addition, there is a firewall that uses a built-in VPN.

#3 You use a lot of Google apps

It is of course obvious that you use many Apple services on an iPhone and Macbook. The company has, of course, built its own infrastructure with services like iCloud and Keynote. However, you may prefer to use Google programs Docs, Drive and Maps. Of course you can also use these in Safari, but they work much better in Chrome and even Firefox.

#4 You use more than Apple devices

Once you’re in Apple’s ecosystem, it’s very hard to get out. That’s not strange, because everything is designed in such a way that it works perfectly with each other. It does not matter which combination, everything goes great together. How different it is if you also have products from other makers. For example, consider a laptop from another brand. Apple doesn’t support Safari on that. Since other browsers also synchronize things like passwords, that could be a reason to switch. For example, Microsoft is doing the same again with its Live accounts.

#5 Designing websites

Many web designers use Chrome or Firefox to test all functions. If all that is correct, then Safari will be next. In fact, some websites don’t fully support Safari, causing some features to run slower or not work properly.
