What does the ash of wood consist of? Is this an enrichment of the soil when you scatter it?

Answer

When organic substances such as wood are burned, only the minerals remain. These are the same nutrients that the plant absorbed at the time, so spreading ashes from wood can be regarded as fertilization and is therefore useful provided that the wood was pure and did not contain any harmful substances for combustion.
