Sunday and John Vanderaart has another column for pcactive.nl. Enjoy it.

Do you remember? Last week, given the current crises, I was unpleasantly surprised by a Dropbox write-off. That’s especially true given the fact that I’m still trying to avoid wasting money unnecessarily. Well, it has to come from the length or the width… I had already resigned myself to having to be tied to a hefty Dropbox subscription for an extra year. Ok, if I were to take full advantage of the 2 TB on offer, the price for that Dropbox subscription was absolutely justifiable. But these days I don’t really need much (= a little bit) more than a free Dropbox subscription that is still good for 2 GB. Yes, those are suddenly very expensive GBs! Especially given the fact that I have now set up my NAS as cloud storage. In the end it was a lot of searching and clicking (Dropbox doesn’t make canceling a subscription too easy), but the result is a free Dropbox subscription combined with all (!) my money back. Yes, kudos to Dropbox. And whether I – now – wanted to throw away too many files immediately. That wasn’t all, because from now on Dropbox is back on the warpath: “I get to choose one ad after another.” That’s the price you pay if you don’t pay. OK then…

Dropbox won’t let it go. One advertisement after another falls to me…
