Answer
The fastest dinosaur was the velociraptor (fast thief). This carnivorous dinosaur lived about 100 to 35 million years ago, in the Upper Cretaceous Period. It grew up to 1 meter high and 2 meters long and weighed between 7 and 15 kilograms. The velociraptor reached speeds of up to 80 km/h. It is believed that these animals hunted in groups, ambushing prey. They were lightly built and fitted with a heavy skull. Their deadly weapon consisted of a razor-sharp sickle-shaped claw on the second toe of each foot. In addition, they also had sharp teeth and clawed grasping hands.
