AVM recently showed all FRITZ! products for mesh WiFi and smart home. For example, you can use the new FRITZ!Repeater 3000 AX for your mesh Wi-Fi 6 network, you can save money and energy with FRITZ!DECT and there is the major FRITZ!OS 7.50 update.
At IFA 2022, the largest tech fair in Europe, AVM showed new FRITZ! products for mesh WiFi and smart home. The complete portfolio of FRITZ!Box models for fiber optic, DSL, cable and 5G/LTE was presented, as well as FRITZ! mesh repeaters and powerline. The versatile Smart Home products for heating, energy and light control and consumption measurement were also on display. With these products, users get a secure digital home with a strong Wi-Fi signal in which they can conveniently use energy and cost-saving applications.
FRITZ!Repeater 3000 AX with tri-band Wi-Fi 6
With the new FRITZ!Repeater 3000 AX, AVM introduces a new Wi-Fi 6 mesh repeater that works with tri-band and intelligent mesh technology. Thanks to three radio units with a total of eight antennas, the tri-band router offers high data rates of up to 4200 Mbit/s to the user’s end devices, the router and the hub of the home network. Users can also distribute data in the home network at gigabit speeds via two LAN ports. In combination with a FRITZ!Box, the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 AX provides a complete home network thanks to mesh WiFi, which optimally provides good WiFi even large apartments with many rooms. Even multiple simultaneous streaming or gaming applications run smoothly: users can join a team meeting while working from home, and the kids can simultaneously stream videos in 4K without any problems.
Live demo: simply connecting FRITZ!Box Fiber at home
For the growing number of fiber optic connections, AVM offers two models for all networks, the FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber and 5590 Fiber, which are already equipped for future speeds. In a live demonstration, AVM showed the IFA visitors how easy it is to connect a FRITZ!Box Fiber at home and what energy-saving benefits customers have by using a router directly at the connection. With a FRITZ!Box Fiber, approximately 40 percent can be saved on energy costs – compared to a connection using a router with an additional fiber optic modem.
Save energy and money with the FRITZ!DECT 302 and FRITZ!DECT 301
The two smart thermostats, the new FRITZ!DECT 302 and the popular FRITZ!DECT 301, heat the user’s home comfortably and efficiently and help to save on energy costs. Connected to a FRITZ!Box, they automatically and accurately control the room temperature based on the user’s individual specifications. With the FRITZ!DECT 302, shorter intervals allow easy interaction with door and window contacts. The comprehensive energy concept, complete with a new chip, allows long battery life over several heating seasons.
Major FRITZ!OS 7.50 Update
The comprehensive FRITZ!OS 7.50 update brings users about 100 new features and improvements for their FRITZ! products. In the Smart Home, the new routine and scene functions now enable if-then sequences for a comfortable and energy-efficient life. The update also makes it easier to set up VPN connections and increases mesh Wi-Fi performance. FRITZ!OS 7.50 will be rolled out for free for the first products in a few weeks.
