Bose comes with new wireless, noise-cancelling earbuds, the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II. Smart technology adapts audio performance and noise cancellation to your ears for the best results.
Bose is the brand that invented the noise canceling headphones and now comes with new technology again. Featuring Bose CustomTune sound calibration technology, the QC Earbuds II intelligently personalize audio performance and noise cancellation by tailoring it to the unique shape of each ear. This should provide a better listening experience and the world’s best noise cancellation from any headset – band or in-ear, Bose says.
Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II design
The QuietComfort Earbuds II have a completely new design. Each earbud is about a third smaller than its predecessor, weighs just 6 grams and comes in a charging case that you can carry in your pocket. And to make them even more personal, a Fit Kit of ear tips is also included, including a new two-piece system with interchangeable stability straps and ear tips – for all-day comfort and portability that the QuietComfort products are known for.
CustomTune for enhanced audio and noise reduction
CustomTune sound calibration technology makes its debut in the QuietComfort Earbuds II. This innovation is activated every time you take the earbuds out of the box and put them in your ears. It plays its own tone, after which a microphone in the earbuds measures the acoustic response of your ear canal. That information is then used to tailor both the sound and noise reduction to you – all in less than half a second.
For audio, CustomTune fully optimizes the sound frequency profile to the unique characteristics of each ear, so that the sound reaching the eardrum is exactly as the artist intended – lifelike, balanced audio with nuance, clarity and depth. For more powerful noise cancellation, CustomTune also tunes the noise canceling signal to your ears, significantly improving performance. It targets sounds that were previously difficult to suppress – such as voices from colleagues nearby, screaming babies on the bus, or distractions from the family in your home office – with this new technology, these types of sounds are blurred so that you can’t even hear those sounds. more disturbed. And CustomTune continuously adapts to the changing sound in your environment, ensuring the best noise cancellation.
Aware Mode with ActiveSense
The intelligent personalization that CustomTune provides also enhances Aware Mode with ActiveSense. In Aware mode, it provides enhanced transparency, so you hear ambient sounds as natural and lifelike as possible. And when there are loud interruptions nearby, ActiveSense responds with just the right level of noise cancellation – tailored specifically to your ear – to reduce noise as it occurs, and only for as long as it lasts.
The QC Earbuds II use four microphones in each earbud – one on the inside and three on the outside – to detect, measure and transmit unwanted noise to a proprietary electronic chip loaded with an exclusive algorithm. Together with tiny transducers, the system responds with an accurate, equal and opposite signal in less than a fraction of a millisecond. The result is exclusive to Bose.
New Fit Kit with earplugs for comfort and stability
The advancement in noise canceling technology that the QuietComfort Earbuds II offer starts with an optimal fit for your ears. The QC Earbuds II divide the traditional one-piece earbuds into a two-piece system: a stability band that follows the contours of your ear, and an umbrella-shaped silicone earplug to create a tight seal at the opening of your ear.
The Bose Fit Kit that comes with the QC Earbuds II includes three sizes of earbuds and three sizes of stability bands – giving each earbud nine adjustment options. And because no two ears are the same – not even on the same person – all parts are designed to be interchangeable, so you can find a fit that feels comfortable and stays in place all day long. Advanced materials and manufacturing techniques keep the stability bands and earbuds soft and compliant, yet durable and easy to change.
As a final step to ensure an ideal fit, a fit test in the Bose Music app verifies an accurate seal by using the same tone as the CustomTune sound calibration to check for leaking sounds, so the QC Earbuds II can deliver the best personalized audio experience. and noise reduction performance.
Compatibility, connectivity, battery life and more
The new Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II are compatible with both Apple and Android devices. They feature improved voice recording thanks to an updated noise removal algorithm, include Bluetooth 5.3, have an IPX4 encoding for sweat and water resistance, and work with a mobile device’s built-in voice assistant. The earbuds have a battery life of six hours and can be charged three more times with the charging case. The case can fully charge the earbuds in an hour, while a quick charge of 20 minutes provides up to two hours of playback time. The charging case itself is fully charged via USB-C in three hours.
The earbuds feature intuitive, capacitive touch buttons on both the left and right earbuds that provide access to frequently used commands, such as play and pause content, volume control, skip tracks, and answer and end calls. In addition, the Bose Music app offers more functionality, such as hotkey settings, noise canceling modes and adjustable EQ, and updates will be released over time to add new features and benefits.
