is it possible to transform the measured speed at which the earth whizzes through the universe, into energy, electricity? Or is that only possible with the rotational speed of the earth? eg with a retrograde satellite? And could that produce digital power, for example?
Answer
To extract kinetic energy from the movement of the Earth around the Zom, or the movement of the Solar System through the galaxy, you must find a mechanism to slow that movement. It must be a mechanism that is fed by external energy, otherwise it will not help your problem: because then the operation will cost energy rather than provide it.
All I see is that we would be slowed down by an interstellar cloud that we pass through, and could recover some of the heating that that creates for that cloud. All very hypothetical and not very efficient.
Please let the Earth continue to revolve around the Sun quietly. If she loses kinetic energy, then we get closer to the Sun, and that doesn’t really help against global warming.
