Recently I found this stone while digging up the garden. Also appears to contain metal as magnet sticks to it, not porous.

Answer
Dear Stijn
I have to disappoint you. Many ‘stones’ posted here and on other forums as possible meteorites are something else. The flow structures and the somewhat glassy appearance of your stone indicate that the material has cooled quickly from a liquid state.
So it could be a piece of lava, but I suspect it is more a snail from the steel industry. You can try to hit a corner of the stone. Then put on safety glasses! If a piece breaks off, you have proved yourself that it is not an iron meteorite. If the material – contrary to my expectations – would only get a dent and would not break, then you should also show the result here.
