by my question I meant how much time it takes for the heat and light energy to reach the earth’s surface.

The distance from the sun to the earth is about 150 million km. Heat and light travel at the speed of light which is about 300,000 km/s. If you divide 150 million km by 300,000 km, you get 500 seconds.
So 500 sec (a little more than 8 minutes) is the answer to your question.
