Weekend Poll: Is Artificial Intelligence Our Biggest Threat?

Last week we came across a striking podcast. Joe Rogan got the chance to interview Apple founder Steve Jobs. But wait a minute, hasn’t he been dead for eleven years now?

That’s right and that’s exactly what makes the podcast so unique. The episode in question was created in its entirety by artificial intelligence. Impressive or terrifying? Time to ask that question in a new edition of the Weekend Poll.

Is artificial intelligence our greatest danger

While a podcast episode is nothing but harmless, such developments remain a bit scary. The conversation between Steve Jobs and Joe Rogan may have been fake, but it doesn’t sound like it. Something that, in our opinion, could cause quite a few problems in the future.

Imagine such conversations being created with key political figures to create chaos. What then? It is one of the examples that shows that artificial intelligence needs to be well controlled. How do you do that exactly and how can you distinguish it from real? No one seems to have that answer yet.

That’s why we thought it was an excellent time to ask the readers of One More Thing for their opinion. Do you think artificial intelligence is our greatest danger?

In addition to filling out the poll above, it is also possible to leave a comment. We’d love to hear what you think about the situation!

Should Apple Worry About Google?

Last week it was time: Google finally brought its Pixel smartphones to the Netherlands after six years. Interesting to be in the Weekend Poll Let’s see to what extent OMT’s readers see the company as a threat.

When asked whether Apple should be concerned about Google, 196 readers answered. More than 70 percent (138 votes) agree that Apple should not worry. Thirty people (15.31 percent) we expect some pressure on the American company, where 28 people (14.28 percent) expect that some hardware areas can cause problems.

“Yes and luckily” late bart119 know in the comments. “Without competition, there would be very little motivation to keep improving. Should Apple be scared of Google right now? I don’t think so, in my experience an iPhone is still the better device”. Although Bart finds the high price increasingly difficult to justify.

Are you curious how the other readers reacted to Bart’s message? You can read the previous article via the link below:
