Apple in October: we hope to see these four gadgets

There are a lot of rumors about new Apple products in October. Although we are halfway through the month, the Cupertino company is still holding tight. Still, we hope to see some new products. OMT editor Jeroen Kraak lists them.

Traditionally, Apple presents a number of new products in October. Usually this happens through an event, but it’s still very quiet from California.

You can expect these new Apple products

Nevertheless, there are many rumors and leaks that we can indeed expect something. A number of products have already been mentioned. I’ll list what I think is most likely.

#1 New iPads

Sometimes an iPad is taken along during the iPhone presentation, but this year it was very quiet about that. So it seems obvious that this will be one of the products that Apple will present. In all likelihood, it will be a new standard iPad and the 2022 Pro models.

#2 New Macs/MacBooks

Macs and MacBooks are always in the pipeline at Apple. We see them quite often during the autumn. So it is likely that we will now see a number of them again.

The Mac Pro 2 is the most anticipated, as it hasn’t received an update since 2019. A similar scenario applies to the Mac mini from 2020. There are also some MacBook Pro models that can receive an M2 update, such as the 14 and 16 inches.

#3 New Apple TV

There are a lot of rumors about a new Apple TV. The last model (the 4K version) was introduced in April 2021. It seems that the new version will also support 8K.

Rumor has it that the Apple TV will also have a much better chip and more memory. As a result, the box must also be able to support gaming. This allows Apple to further expand its Arcade service for games.

#4 New HomePod

The HomePod is a bit of an odd one out. Apple decided to discontinue the product. It already came with the mini, which has less sound quality, but is considerably cheaper. Still, Apple thinks there’s room for a new HomePod.

The HomePod mini was launched almost two years ago and so it’s time for something new. If a new model of the regular version comes out, you can expect a significant improvement in sound quality.
