Last week, Apple announced its new entry-level iPad. The tenth generation finally has the well-known design of the other models and therefore also carries a USB-C port.
The problem, however, is that the Apple Pencil (first-generation) does not support this connection. Solution: charge with an adapter in the middle. Logical decision or ridiculous? Nice question for the Weekend Poll of this week!
Apple Pencil a ridiculous choice for the iPad?
The first-generation Apple Pencil: a stylus for the iPad that you can charge via a Lightning port in the tablet. It has been the cause of hilarity on the internet for years, but it still works well.
Still, it’s the second-generation Apple Pencil that consumers like best. The stylus can be charged on the edge of the iPad by means of a magnetic connection. Advantage: the USB-C connection is free, so that you can charge the tablet.
The new iPad (tenth generation) also carries such a USB-C connection, but does not support the Apple Pencil (second generation). Consumers still have to make do with the first model and charge it separately by means of a special adapter.
We find it cumbersome. But what do you think? Let us know by filling out the poll below:

Artificial intelligence our biggest threat?
In the Weekend Poll last week we asked our readers about the danger of artificial intelligence. This in response to a podcast that appeared at the time in which Joe Rogan had an interview with Steve Jobs. You know: the Apple founder who sadly passed away 11 years ago this month.
A total of 132 people responded to the poll. Of all votes, 55.3% (73 votes) think that artificial intelligence is indeed our greatest danger. The remaining 44.7% (59 votes) think this is not the case.
And user Matador? They don’t think so “because artificial intelligence doesn’t write titles like ‘Is artificial intelligence is our greatest danger?’”. Touche, Matador. Saturday morning was clearly not spent on our editorial team.
The result of the Weekend Poll of this week can be found in next week’s edition.
